Dick and Jane Letterpress is once again looking for interns for this summer! Our internship offers students a unique opportunity to experience the realities of design and production in an inspiring studio storefront space.

Interns will learn the basics of letterpress printing including making polymer plates, mixing inks, preparing the press for jobs, running letterpress and foil print jobs, and cleaning the press. In addition, interns will spend a significant amount of time creating new designs for wedding invitations, greeting cards, announcements, product packaging, and/or stationery.  Other duties may include participating in meetings with clients, packing and shipping orders, performing quality checks on printed pieces, creating engaging blog and social media content, and assisting with general shop maintenance.

We tailor the internship based on each student’s strengths and interests. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in graphic design, typography, illustration, and/or print production. Other qualifications include a basic working knowledge of the core Adobe suite, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work quickly and independently.

Interested candidates should send their resume and a link to their portfolio to info@dickandjaneletterpress.com.
