We labored over what colors to run with on this for a while. Our palletes we're originally in the soft blues and sea foams combined with a deep blacks. After taking more time to look at the brides venues and inspiration we suddenly shifter gears in favor of the warmer tones. We ended with this super clean juxtaposition of a blush dry brush technique applied over a silver ink. The envelopes were also matched using a blush tone paper but for the liners, we went with a higher contrast steel grey. It was truly a labor of love. We couldn't be happier with the results!
We've had a few inquiries in this past week about letterpress wedding invitations printed in a gold ink. I thought it might be good to show an example here on the letterpress blog. I've included a pic below of a project we printed with a gold ink. The result is clean and luxurious contrast. We also have a champagne gold which has a little lighter contrast but still very very elegant. Thanks for visiting the site. Feel free to contact us with any questions!
Janis rules. We have done a ton of work for her this year. Letterpress Save-the-Dates, a complete invite suite, and thank you cards. What makes working with Janis and Johannes so fun? They have a really great aesthetic. Note the two bees fluttering off on the right with the great big flower on the left which grounds the whole invitation flawlessly. Their invite text is the next layer; centered, clean, and meticulously organized. Love it. Thanks for visiting the letterpress blog. More posts coming very soon!
We are please to announce the completion of letterpress business cards for Adrianne Gammie. The artwork was supplied by Adrianne and to be completely frank, we think these cards are a total knock out. Clean, minimalist stationery with a vibrant splash of WOW! From the custom color to the double sided printing, these were a blast to be a part of. Special thanks to Adrianne for giving us the opportunity to print her extra special project. We hope all our letterpress blog followers enjoy the pics below. Her site will be up soon. We'll update this post with a link when one is available!
We were cleaning the shop this week. While filing away some summer orders, I came across these really cool invitations! Pictured below are the final invitation, rsvp and thank you card designs for Jean Claude and Esther. They selected our Spring Leaf II wedding collection design. After a few quick tweaks, we finalized the beautiful compositions. I can't believe I overlooked adding them to our letterpress blog. I guess I'll never know how that happened? The final letterpress wedding invitations were printed on pearl paper in a sage and dark grey ink combination. Special thanks to JC and Esther for their creative attitude and proactive approach to finalizing all the little details required to make these invitations so tasty!
